Meet The Owner
BUILD Construction & Development is owned and operated by Utah native, Mark Nelson. His enjoyment of being active and outside led him to employment in the construction industry at an early age with experience including professional painting, electrical, framing and remodels. Mark graduated with a B.S. Degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University and continued his education at Arizona State University with a Master of Real Estate Development Degree.
After graduation, Mark spent 10 years with leading commercial contracting and development companies learning the trade and adding value to their organizations. Professional projects include industrial warehousing, a commercial gym on a military base, multifamily apartments and townhomes, tenant improvements, office, retail, and hotels with construction costs well over $100 million.
Mark started BUILD to combine his love for providing a positive customer experience with his extensive knowledge of construction.
Mark and his family reside in Davis County and enjoy spending time together in Utah’s great outdoors.
